Boulder Floods, CaptainU Digs

On Friday, the Denver CaptainU crew took the day to help a family in Boulder whose house had been severely damaged by the massive flooding that hit Colorado’s Front Range. We dug out a bunch of debris and power-washed the remnants of 10 feet of mud that had filled the basement. At one point, I saw Casey and Eric elbow deep in a toilet, trying to remove the mud that had accumulated there. Marj and Nick may have a long way to go to get things back to where they were, but their son Hunter estimated that volunteers have already poured 3,800 hours into helping them. I feel fortunate that we had the opportunity to be part of that effort.
